Windows Live Writer

I’ve recently downloaded the latest Windows Live Messenger and I noticed you can download a host of extra add-on’s. One of which is the Windows Live Writer.

As a matter of fact I’m blogging on it right now. The configuration is fairly straight forward, all you need do is give you blog address and it automatically detects which blog engine you’re using.

So far, I’m impressed.

If you see this post and the images Windows Live Writer works very nicely. Ok, I had some trouble with the uploading of images part. Even when using FTP to upload it links to some weird folder. Some further experimentation to follow……

I was unable to FTP images via Windows Live Writer to my blog, I had the same problem with Word 2007 as it keeps wanting to upload it to some weird folder on my server, that does not even exist. Mmmm….maybe I can write a little plug-in, to make it easier.
